San Ramon Whole House Transitional Remodel

San Ramon Whole House Transitional Remodel - #404

This client wanted to create a more current, contemporary living space with lighter colors, more lighting, white cabinetry, hardwood flooring, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. They decided to remodel the entire house, ceiling to floor, to include the kitchen, living room, master bedroom, master bathroom, two hall bathrooms, and even added upgrades to the garage (drywall, new shelving and lighting).

The challenge was remodeling this tri-level home that was confined by its original footprint .

Highlights to this beautiful remodel included creating a simple elegant master bath that met the client’s practical needs without giving up an expression of playfulness.  A calm neutral color scheme, tied together with a fresh paint color, brings out details that would normally get lost in darker colors. Brazilian white ice granite is used on both the sink counter and shower details revealing a beautiful white and creme background complemented by a darker gray movement.

A neutral backdrop used in this transitional kitchen was the ideal for keeping it practical, clean and welcoming.  It is hard to grow tired of this homeowner's design material choices!  A specialty pull out corner shelf system by LeMans was added to the cabinetry to make the most efficient use of the deep corner space.

Maple hand-scraped flooring was used through the main level of the house, including the kitchen, to keep an even flow throughout the living space.  The family room was updated with a fresh new look, which included new maple hand-scraped hardwood flooring and the painting of existing cabinet bookcases - originally a light oak finish.
