An Outdoor Kitchen and Pavilion Designed for Entertaining in Danville

These Danville homeowners were seeking a luxurious outdoor living space that created the right amount of functional space for entertaining a large group of people or hosting a cozy and quaint private gathering.

With plenty of outdoor space to work with, we were tasked with designing an area in the backyard that would comprise an oversized gourmet kitchen, a spacious dining area, and separate lounge seating for guests. The homeowners were also particularly interested in working with a design-build firm that had proven expertise in working on high-end projects. The introduction to Gayler Design Build was made by designer, Dorene Gomez of Dorene Gomez Interiors.

Unique Design Aspects

Quarried out of Brazil, a stunning cool-toned Ijen Blue Quartzite was chosen for the outdoor kitchen countertops. This alternative to marble is harder and more durable and its light blue background is accentuated by blue and gold veining dispersed throughout. The outdoor kitchen plan, which included the size of the outdoor kitchen space area, layout shape, appliance location, storage, etc. created an effective workspace that allowed plenty of room for multiple chefs in the kitchen.  Finally, we added modern conveniences that enhanced the homeowners’ outdoor enjoyment, including fans, heaters, and special lighting.

Materials and exterior paint colors were also chosen purposely to match the home’s existing structure and architecture.

The new outdoor kitchen and pavilion offer a variety of pleasures that fit this family’s active lifestyle. Beyond being delighted in the entire remodeling experience, they were extremely happy with the end result and proud to share their new space with loved ones and friends.
